Welcome to the Teach @ SLC Resource HUB

The School of Contemporary Teaching & Learning (SCTL) is responsible for supporting Faculty in their teaching practice by designing educational development programming and providing 1on1 teaching support on all three campuses (e.g., Brockville, Cornwall, and Kingston). Our tri-campus school includes a multidisciplinary team of teaching/learning professionals that specialize in professional/digital learning as well as team members that support part-time online students.

This website is designed as a resource hub for college employees and contains a list of resources created or curated by the SCTL. The current layout includes the following sections:

  • Getting Started - information for new/returning faculty and onboarding documentation.

  • Learning Plan - overview of the Learning Plan process and associated resources.

  • Professional Learning - resources designed to help faculty expand their teaching practice.

  • Digital Learning - resources on how to use college approved learning technologies.

  • Book Club - curated list of books to review for Summer reading.

  • Workshops - schedule of current events being offered to all employees.

  • Contacts - meet the team and review our contact information.

While all our materials are created using a Creative Commons license to promote open education, users will be prompted to log into their SLC.me account when accessing certain resources as these have been archived using the college's sharepoint service. We will continue to find for more ways to share these resources in an open format and encourage everyone else to do the same.

If you have any questions about the SCTL, please contact André Léger ALeger@sl.on.ca. We also invite you to provide us with feedback on our website, teaching/learning resources, or services using the anonymous form below.

Share your Success & Resources in the HUB!

Throughout the website you will see opportunities for faculty and staff to contribute to the resource hub. This can be done by sharing an Innovative Teaching strategy or simply highlighting how you applied a resource/tool in a teaching context through a Teaching Spotlight. These submissions will be reviewed by members of the SCTL so that we may create new resources for the larger college community.
